Formula50racing is an organisation that promotes STREET rally racing in the North Georgia Mountains, and in North Carolina/Tennessee at Deal's Gap on 50cc scooters...mopeds and motorcycles. We are all about having fun on our 50's. All of our rally events are timed from one section to the other...and at no time are we racing against another competitor. We race against the clock to see who has the quickest elapsed time in each section.....and the best overall time for the rally.
Our events are competitive.....but they are designed to be fun for the whole family. We pick the public roads that have the least amount of straightaways....and the most corners in them. We find roads that are nearly impossible to exceed the posted speed limit....so that we remain friendly to any law enforcement. In fact..most of time we are well under the speed limit. Our first rally around the "Loop" was 36 miles in length....and was won by a Yamaha Zuma scooter who's average speed was 34 mph on roads that are posted at 40 and 45 mph.
Formula50racing has 5 differt classes for your 50cc bike to ride in. Click HERE for the class requirements. You will only "compete" against other 50 cc competitors in your class. Points are awarded for from 1st to 10th place for each rally. At the end of the season....class champions will be announced...and trophies will be awarded.
We are a new orgnization that started in Jan 08. Formula50racing noticed that all lot of us have 50cc pit bikes that never use them except for at a trackday or a race. We know that scooter sales have tripled in the last year...so a lot of folks have scooters that may never get a chance to ride them in the Mountains or at the Gap. This is your chance to bring those scooters and mopeds and track bike 50's out and have a whole lot of fun. Any 50cc scooter/moped/motorcycle that is STREET LEGAL can compete in the rallies. We have a class for you to ride in.
