"Around the Loop"
Rally begins at Georgia Hwy 60, and Georgia Hwy 180 in Suches, Georgia. Gathering and tech inspections at Dales.

Four timed sections.
Section #1: Northeast on Hwy 180 to Ga Hwy 129.
Section #2: Southeast on Ga Hwy 129 to Turner's Corner.
Section #3: Southwest on Ga Hwy 19 from Turner's Corner to Ga Hwy 60 at the Rock Pile.
Section #4: North on Ga Hwy 60 to Ga Hwy 180 at Dales.

May 18^th, 2008 Race rally at Deal's Gap

If you have never ridden the Gap...it's the twistiest road in all of the United States. It's 11 miles in length...and has 318 turns. That's not a typo. It's 318 corners in a row with very short straightaways. It's a perfect place to have a 50cc race because you can't break the speed limit on a 50cc vehicle. There are some hills...but not too steep.....so it's tough to average 30mph through all the turns. A modified Aprilia or a race 50 might reach 45 mph for a few feet....but most of the time you'll be riding hard to achieve 35 mph on a 50.

The objective is to achieve the lowest elapsed time through those 11 miles. You will be clocked in both directions in the class your 50 fits into. All entrants will be timed seperatly against the clock. You will not be racing with another competitor on the road. See the GAP rules here for more info.
